Gaia Mission 1.7

Gaia provides a comprehensive overview of the Gaia mission, a cornerstone astrometry initiative by the European Space Agency (ESA) dedicated to surveying our Galaxy. The primary objective of the Gaia mission is to construct the most extensive and precise three-dimensional map of the Milky Way by cataloguing an unprecedented one percent of its estimated 100 billion stars.

This application has been developed by the Institut de Ciències del Cosmos – Department of Astronomy and Meteorology at the University of Barcelona, as part of the university's mobile project initiatives.
